Sour'd Milk

Workshop, Fullerton College Playwright's Festival, 2014; semi-finalist, the Ell Project, 2016.  AVAILABLE FOR A WORLD PREMIERE

Roy White shoots and kills big animals for fun and profit, while his wife, Dorothy, cares for the couple's adopted baby gorilla. But denying one's wildish nature comes at a huge cost in this quirky domestic drama about the oppressive nature of love, race, gender and sexual preference.

With the attention to the capture and abuse of gorillas in the documentary VIRUNGA, SOUR'D MILK is both compelling and topical for contemporary audiences.

Cast size: 6 (5 M, 1 W, multi-ethnic). Puppetry.
